Don’t children love pupperts? My friend Ande is helping me show off the Wyatt puppet which is a perfect addition to the Wyatt The Wonder Dog Learns About Good Manners Book. For the Christmas season, you can purchase both the book and the puppet for $25.00. Make your child smile just like Ande is here. Thanks, Ande! You were a GREAT model!
What a week it has been! I spoke to the Cherokee County Delta Kappa Gamma chapter on Tuesday about literacy and my dream of publishing a book. Thank you to all the members for the opportunity and hospitality you extended.
Saturday was Wyatt’s first ever book signing event and we had such a great time! Pam Gardner the illustrator and I talked with children and adults at the Yawn’s Books and More in Canton Georgia. Everyone I talked with really enjoyed the event and commented that Yawn’s is the best kept secret in Canton!
Finally, on Sunday, Wyatt and I participated in the Holiday Bazaar at Kennesaw United Methodist Church, where we had a booth and sold not only Wyatt books but lots of other children’s books as well. Wyatt has been so popular that I will soon be ordering a new shipment of books! You can continue to order on this website or on Amazon.com . Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive!
The last two weeks I’ve been visiting second grade classes and talking about writing a book. Students at this age are not shy about asking questions. Sometimes they ask questions I haven’t even considered. Here’s a few samples: How old is Wyatt? When is his birthday? Is there going to be another Wyatt book? Could you put a lot of the stories together and make a chapter book?
Then there is the interesting but irrelevant information: I have a friend named Wyatt or My room is messier than Wyatt’s room.
Overall though, I’m very impressed with the thoughtfulness and the creativity of the questions. I do believe there may be some future writers in our midst!
